When we moved out to the country in the fall of 2005, not only had we been motivated to leave the suburban lifestyle but also wanted to seek self-suffiency. We engaged voraciously in reading Joel Salatin's series of farming books, including You Can Farm, Salad Bar Beef, and Holy Cows and Hog Heaven. Beginning with chickens and donkeys, we have gradually grown our farm and learned many lessons along the way. We are far from mastering the science of raising animals in a natural and organic way, but by the will of God will steadily learn more about His creation, and eventually completely support ourselves from the fruits of the field.

Jubilant Fields is situated in the midst of the rolling plains of rural North Texas. Our farm includes 21 acres of pasture, woods, a portion of a lake, and a creek. We enjoy the spacious blue sky, the unrestrained wind, and the bright twinkling stars that the Lord has blessed us with!
